DeVries Children Pictures

Madison 8 years old
Tate 6 years old
Eden 4 years old
Evie Jane 1 year old
I have finally done it! After 2 years without professional pictures being taken, I got up the courage to take on the great stressful task of getting my children in for their very own photo session!
You see, times before have proven to be unsuccessful and very eventful in the way of smiles, poses, pressed clothing, combed hair, no whining, no crying, no running or climbing around, and to all be sitting together perfectly still for a milli-second and acting for just the short moment that they might enjoy one another. Am I asking for too much? I am not going to lie to you (as other's might and I won't believe them if they do) that photos sessions with children under the age of 6 yrs old is a difficult, (PS. my oldest in now 8y/o) tiring and absolutely spa worthy for the organizer-purchaser/mother. I realize this might sound like a huge complaint and possibly that I can't juggle or deal with many things--hmmm. Just spend a weekend with our family and you might have a smidgen of understanding about these justifiable and true feelings as I have experienced and change your mind.
So, it's not that I don't like pictures and mind buying them--just the frazzle of it all. So, I came up with the idea that allowed me great joy and pleasure....take each child in by themselves for their own sitting session. I did just that spacing their sessions out 2 weeks apart from one another and it worked beautifully! I was so proud of myself and have wondered why I hadn't thought of that 1 year ago. Well anyway, friends have asked "what about a group picture with all of your children?" Answer. "Photo shop and oh well," I say.
All and all, posting my children, grand-children, cousins, friends and neighbor's on this blog posting have made me very happy! These precious children, as you know, are many people to all, but too me they are everything--my little gifts of love to my greatly fulfilled life, no matter how dreaded past picture sessions have been and how future picture sessions will be!
