Christmas Vacation

Over the Christmas break I felt like I was part of a design team like the ones you see on some of those tv home improvement shows. With the help of my lovely and pregnant wife we helped Carl and Stacey Worth remodel their family room. It came together in a short time and looks very professional (of course). We installed tile to match the kitchen, revamped the tile backsplash around the fireplace, a nice rug, and new accent pillows for the couch. Let's not forget the friendship that was strengthened. Needless to say the room looks great and Stacey was glad to have the carpet out of the room as you can imagine with four boys.

Oregon - You won't want to leave

I travel to the coast a couple of times each month with work. I am always in awe at the beauty of the surroundings and the majesty of the ocean. I am mesmerized by the overwhelming calm I get by watching the waves break. This puts life into simple check for me to know there is so much more than we as mortals give credit for. We have a loving Father in Heaven and Savior that loves us.

Spider-Man Spider-Man

Tate really enjoys Spider-Man. We even think that he may have a few of Spidey's qualities. Eden might have them too. Check out what I mean.

Switching Clothes

Maddie and Tate enjoy playing a variety of imaginative things. One, the other night included switching clothes and pretending to be the one another. The outfit Tate has on is simple yet great. The hot pink cordory pants , lepard shirt, bracelets, gel in the hair says it all--DRAG. Maddie of course is sporting Oregon Ducks with Tate's high-water jeans. Which she may have something going here with all of the rain and flooding...could be the new trend. Trade clothes with your younger sibling and see how many other kids will follow~ while keeping dry all the while.

President of Boys Club

Madison was so excited at the dinner table last night and proceeded to tell her story of how she became the first ever President of the boys club. She loves to play at recess and when we ask her how school went for the day she tells us about her experiences at recess.
Anyway, at recess the kids in her class play chase. Usually the boys against the girls, but because Madison is faster than some of the boys they asked only her (this is of course from Madisons point of view) to be on their team to help catch the girls. There is one boy in her class that she talks about all the time. Evan W. made Madison the President of the boys club yesterday. She was on cloud nine. Well, today she told us at dinner that they kicked her out of the boys club because she was giving too many orders and the girls didn't want her because she had betrayed them. Somehow she continued to play and got back on the boys team. Life through a child's passion for the game of chase. We have found we have to be very specific at what we ask for, otherwise we get a long answer filled with a great deal of animation. Kids are Great!

One project at at Time

Interesting that I would post this, however it's just the little things that keep me going and make me happy. I finished a curtain project that has taken~ oohhh 6 weeks or so~ and it was really easy to do. I got the girls curtains done by finding the material through a shower curtain and extra sheets. The quilt and sham sets didn't have curtains to go with the bedding so I improvised. I thought the colors were so cute..definately girly. Now I'm onto doing the sheer canopy for our bedroom~ should I take a picture?
