I see so many cute blogs and wonder about my own. Who is managing our blog now-a-days? Huh. That would be hmmm no one?
Well, I feel that for my personal journal in this journey through life that I should recall all of the goodness that has come amidst the chaos of schedules, school and life.
Scott is currently away for training in MN. In pursuing a career path change for many months now, he was offered a position with a medical device company the day before Thanksgiving. We celebrated with much thanksgiving at our friend's home, the Dyer's, among other good friends as well.
His territory covers the state of Oregon. We feel blessed that a position was available here and would hopefully be an easier transition then an out of state move. So far, he loves it! He gave his 2 week notice with his other company 3 days ago and the next day flew out for MN.
Christmas came and is gone so quickly, I often question if it really was here...and so do my children. The realization came just a few days before Christmas for Madison as she tried to keep the spirit of Santa alive. I over heard her saying to Tate. "We have 2 days before Christmas and then we can open our presents from Santa!" There wasn't a true response from Tate and since I hadn't put any presents under the tree yet, I asked her? "Do you have any presents to even open?"(I'm so mean sometimes-just to see what she'd say.) She responded by hanging her head. "Well no." (Okay, so that was sad) But Tate, out of nowhere, cracked me up by saying. "That's okay Mad, it's only 49 days until my Birthday and I'll get presents then!"
Needless to say, they all got presents--not a lot. But enough. I think it's nice to enjoy the simplicity of gift giving and to know that the cost isn't on a credit card balance abyss.
I'm not saving this draft but publishing it. Because if I don't, I won't get back to the blog for..oh a while, AKA possibly months.
But, I need to pick up kiddos from school and take a shower. I enjoyed 3 intermittent hours of sleep last night. Maybe I'll even write about it sometime! But all and all, the days of life are blessings.
