Evie Jane the Rapper

Feb. 4th, 2009

OK- this is my awesome friend Laurel puppeting Evie to be a early aged rapper. Exception of my annoying laugh ~ it's really cute!

Maddy's 2nd Grade Program

This is Maddy's class of 2nd grader's on the stands. There are 6 more classes that spread out across the gym on similar stands.

This little fox is Sarah Dyer and she is a "child fox" in the song, 'The Fox' and chews on the bones of a Goose and a Duck. It is the opening song of the 10 entertaining numbers that these children really were quite animated in. It was fun to see.

This is Madison as the gray GOOSE and her friend Nick as the DUCK. In the song, they get kidnapped from their farm bin and taken to the fox den. This is where they both are a very delicious dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Fox and their fox children.

Behind them are the hunters dressed in camouflage looking for the goose and duck--unfortunately they never find them.

Teaching Skills

A couple of weeks ago in Madison's Sunday school class her teacher was asking questions to the kids about different things you could pray about. Madison raised her hand and in her innocent way said, "you could pray to be a better teacher." Kids say the funniest things!

Wanderings

It was just one of those days at church. When we get to church on time (rarely) we site in the front corner. I think we might just make a permanent home in the back after this last week.
Evie can't sit still anymore and for the past couple weeks needs to be taken out to the hallway. Eden was having problems this week too which is surprising, so to say the least we were both out in the hallway and all the while Tate and Madison were sitting by themselves in the front row.
Tate stood up, folded his arms and acted like he was reverently leaving the chapel. He took a detour to his buddy Logan's middle row seat about halfway into the chapel and asked Logan in a not so quiet voice if his family was going to another friends house for dinner with us that evening. Logan didn't hear Tate and so it was repeated. Logan's mom then said softly to Tate that they weren't and Tate said in a loud voice, WHAT. Logan's mom then repeated herself and Tate said OKAY in a loud voice. He then quietly folded his arms and reverently walked back to his seat.

My day up until 8:30am

I just started thinking about how I go through life and days are a blur at times as I run around in circles just doing my everyday stuff. At times when I explain how busy I am to people and don't really know what to say...here are a few things to remember about my days.

As it's now 8:30am Fri. morning, I've reflected on what I've done so far and let me tell ya--being a wife and mother is so much more than what it's cut out too be!

Sprang out of bed to cut up the birch tree and put it in the "green" can (before the sun came up), got Madison ready-breakfast, hair, lunch packed and on the bus, Scott's expenses faxed, 2 beds made, I ate, emptied the dishwasher, filled out a Home Depot rebate form, logged onto the computer to have Tate play Webkinz, changed a diaper, took wet clothes from the washer and hung them out to dry, had my children shred some old receipts, wiped tears and kissed banged heads, feed 2 other children, wrote to a friend on face book, talked to my brother and had a good laugh, then I with Kimberly w,thout the good laugh.

Oh, notice exercising, taking a shower and reading the scriptures isn't included in my daily routine yet-

That's so far what's going on in my my little world and that's what makes me so "Busy"! It can't be put into a adult meaningful conversation to "sum it up" it a 30 sec. "hello and what have you been up too?" answer.

No matter. It is what it is and it IS fun!

Missionary Man

Tate and his buddy Briggs are taking turns playing in the mornings before school on a couple of days during the week. While Tate was running out the door today, he insisted on taking a Book of Mormon with him to his friends house. Michelle asked if he would prefer another book , but he insisted. What is amazing is that Tate doesn't want to take the scriptures to church, but we thought it was a great missionary moment for little man Tate to set the example and share the gospel in the smallest of ways.
