Tonight Tate was frustrated that Scott is rarely home and when he is available he is with the YM. (That's kinda how I feel too). But, without complaining about it I mentioned to Tate that Dad would come home and lay down by him in bed tonight.
He responded with 6 y/o anger and said "He always spends time with those boys! How come?" Then comes 7 y/o Madison with her quick response that the Bishop asked him to be with the boys and that the Prophet told the Bishop to ask Dad (The Prophet has a BIG job--I'm thinking and laughing) Tate's sharp rebuttal to her was, "No he didn't, the Mayor did!"
(Hmm good thought) Even with young children the division can be seen between church and state and the decisions we make--how could the Mayor involve himself with the Bishop's decision? Interesting twist on political influence.

Madison is going to be the bishop's wife one day and Tate is going to be Mayor. Funny kids.
The mayor, huh?? That is pretty creative! And that poor prophet. He must be one busy man!
Funny twist. Someday he will get it straight. When times get tough remind him that someday he will be one of those big boys spending extra time with his dad.
